About

OwlThon is a movement at Florida Atlantic University which raises funds and awareness for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

During our first official Dance Marathon in March of 2014, OwlThon raised $6,000. In our second year, we raised over $66,000, a 1002% increase! The third annual OwlThon raised over $188,000, a 186% increase, making us the fastest growing CMN Hospitals Dance Marathon program in the nation! In only our fourth year, we raised over $242,000!

Mission

The mission of OwlThon at Florida Atlantic University is to provide a yearlong fundraising effort that culminates in a 13.1 hour Dance Marathon. It celebrates the patients and families treated at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and recognizes FAU student leaders who have dedicated their time to our cause. Through our efforts, we will forever stand for the children and families that we are privileged to serve. OwlThon at Florida Atlantic University aspires to be the premiere student-run philanthropic movement, bringing together a diverse community focused on educating, inspiring, and uniting our campus and community to provide ongoing support for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
